When we say ‘data entry’, it involves getting data from a given source

and placing it in a provided destination. Most of the data entry work

involves simple copy and paste situations. It is important to note that

there may be a process involved before you can get the information that

is to be copied and pasted. Eventually, after pasting, you submit that

information for use in different ways.

In this training, we are going to primarily focus on two main sources

of information or ‘data’ to be copied (source websites) and a variety

of areas where we will paste this information (destination websites).

Note that as you go through this process practically, you will most

likely be earning at the same time. So, take each step carefully with

the seriousness it deserves. As you may also notice, this section will

also introduce you to affiliate marketing. Data entry sometimes coils

up with affiliate marketing to be very effective. No need to worry

though, you won’t go knocking on peoples doors.

Our sources are two websites. You will need to sign up to each of these

two websites. However, for those people living outside USA and Canada,

only one of the two sources may be available to you. No need to worry,

the potential for earning from either is equally high. Please check for

availability of the services of both websites from your country.

So, which are these two websites?

Website 1: Paydotcom

This website allows just about anyone from any country, to sign up and
use their services. Check your country to verify.

To sign up, just click on the link below (or copy it and paste on the
address bar on your browser):
 

Then fill in your details appropriately.Choose the affiliate option when joining, not the vendor option. Make sure the email and postal address you provide are correct because this is where your money/check will be sent.

Website 2: Clickbank

Then fill in your details appropriately. Choose the affiliate option

address you provide are correct because this is where your money/check
will be sent.

So, go to www.clickbank.com. This website has restrictions to people from certain countries.  Since we are not sure whether your country is eligible, let’s carry on with
the sign up process to find out.

So, go to www.clickbank.com. On the page that opens, look for a button
with the writings ‘Become an AFFILIATE. Click Here’ It is somewhere on
the left hand side of the web page. Seen it? Click on it.

A new page with a title to the effect ‘MAKE MONEY PROMOTING THE WEB’S
BEST DIGITAL PRODUCTS’ appears. At the bottom of that page, you will
see a link  ‘Sign up Now’. Click on it.

The page that appears allows you to enter your personal details. It is
a registration form. On the drop down menu corresponding to “Country”,

check whether your country is listed. If not listed, sorry, your
country is not supported. Just use the previous website we discussed.

If it is listed, go on and complete the registration.

Make sure that the information you give is true and accurate. Those
details will be used as they send you a check. You don’t want your
check to get lost, do you?

After completing registration, you will be prompted to check your email
for a confirmation code. Check your email and copy the code, then click
on the link provided. A new page appears which allows you to enter that
code and some extra texts -captcha- provided (just to make sure you are human)
and guess what, you are done with the set up!

We are now ready with our source websites. All we need to know is how

to get the data to copy and paste. But before we get to that, I want to

go to the destination websites where we get to paste our data and

submit it. I will start with three destination websites. You will need

to have these opened on new tabs in your browser. Just right click on

each of the following links and open them on new tabs in your browser.

You can also do this by going to 'File' then 'New Tab', then Paste the

links on the blank address bar that appears:

List Source

Each of the above will allow you to paste the ‘data’ we will obtain

from our two source websites so that you can get to earn money. The

first website above, Need hits is called a search engine submitter

whereas the other two, i.e. World Blaster and list source are called

directory submitters.

A search engine submitter sends your links to many internet search

engines at the same time, whereas a directory submitter sends the links

to directories on the internet where many other search engines can get

and pick them.

Now, back to the source websites. I will start with paydotcom.

Log in to your paydotcom account using the information you obtained

during sign up. Once logged in, go to “Promote Products” tab. Under it,

choose “From Market Place” tab that is at the top. (There appears two

lines of tabs each with ‘from market place’. Choose the one at the top

above the other)

A search dialog box appears. Just click on “Search”.

A list of websites(products) appears, each with a brief description.

Below each are a few links such as ‘promote’, ‘view sales page’ and so

on. We are only interested with the “promote” button. Click on it if

you are impressed by the product description(how do you know if you are

impressed? Answer, if you feel you would also want to buy that product

by just reading the description!). It will open a page through which

you will scroll down and look for your special link to be able to

promote that product.

The link has your paydotcom username somewhere in it. Highlight this

link and copy it. It is under a subtitle labeled 'Just the Link'. It

has a format that looks like this:
https://paydotcom/r/12345/yourpaydotcomusername/1234567

There you are, you have done the copying. An easy way to copy the link

is, after highlighting the link, press down the Ctrl key on your

computer keyboard followed by letter C, that is, Ctrl+C. This

automatically copies the link.

Now, go to the three websites you have opened, i.e., the destination

websites. Starting with needhits.net, paste the link you have copied.

(A shortcut, Ctrl+V) This automatically pastes your link on the “Enter

URL” space provided.

NOTE: For paydotcom links, delete the‘s’ in the https so that it

remains as http. (UPDATE: Paydotcom has since removed the "s" in the

https://. Now you can just copy and paste the link as it is.)

Then enter your email address, the same one you used to register for
paydotcom, and click on “Submit URL”. And you are done!

Now go to worldblaster.com and paste the same link on the “website URL”

space. Then fill in your email and the category that best describes

your website. Then hit “Add Link”

Repeat the same with Listsource.com.

It’s that simple. Remember, remove the‘s’ in the https on your link

every time you paste your website link.

That is data entry part of affiliate marketing. You are copying and

pasting. In the process, you get paid.  So repeat this process with as

many websites on paydotcom as you can. That increases your earning

potential.

It also has an element of affiliate marketing because you are actually

promoting websites and e books.

increase exposure and hence your earning potential:

1.    Safe list Email Services:

These are email services that allow you to write an email and send it

to a large number of people without spamming them. The safelists have

thousands of people who are willing to read your email and so have

agreed to receive it. Below is a list of a few of them:

2.    Classified sites:

The following are classified ads placement websites where by you can

place a classified advert for free to be seen by thousands of people.

With adverts, you may need to use an email to respond to those

interested. So, as you write your advert, you can leave out your link

but include your email address as you write an eye catching advert.

This way, the reader of your advert will be interested in finding out

more about your product. It is when they contact you via email, which

you provided in your advert, that you respond with an email containing

your link in it.

ODesk is one of the best jobs sites I have ever come across. Not only

does it offer data entry jobs but also a variety of other jobs. It

allows you to even set your prices with some jobs and can even enable

you to get a full time online job. It however, requires that you have

your own computer because there is some software that you may need to

download.

oDesk has numerous opportunities to earn but requires that you boost

your profile by taking a variety of tests in it.

Step by step, go to www.oDesk.com. Sign in using your username and

password. If you don't have one, click on "Create Account" tab at the

top left corner of the home page.
 

It will prompt you to choose what type of account you want. Choose the

middle option of the three outlined (freelance provider).

Then go ahead and fill in the details requested on the page that

follows. After completion, you will be sent an email telling you to

confirm your account. Do so.

Now, sign in to your account and then take the oDesk readiness test.(

Hint: Most questions require the answer 'all the above' or 'none of the

above') The pass mark for this test is 100%.

After this test, take other relevant tests to your area of expertise.

This improves your chances of getting the first job, which is the most

difficult to get.

Don't stop there. Keep taking tests over time and also apply for as

many jobs as your profile can allow.

Remember, oDesk has traditional data entry jobs, article writing jobs,

technical jobs and many other jobs. It's a one in all job center. I

will talk more about hourly jobs vs. fixed price jobs, bidding for

jobs, and payment verification among other details in the following

section.

In oDesk, you will find two types of jobs. Hourly jobs- which pay at

the end of the hour as you work, and fixed price jobs which require

that you bid for jobs and indicate how much you can do the job for.

Fixed price jobs are good because they don't tie you to the computer.

You work your own free time so long as you can complete the job by the

agreed time. They however, require that you wait for approval by the

job giver and also an interview. You have to set your own price, which

is not guaranteed to be paid by oDesk. Therefore, these jobs require

that you ask for an upfront payment before you even start the job. You

place a percentage of the upfront pay you want. For example, if you

charge $10 for some job, you can ask for 50% upfront. That is $5,

before you even start the job. This ensures that you don't loose

entirely even if the job giver backs down after sometime and refuses to

pay.

Hourly jobs are guaranteed to pay you by oDesk. You however, need to

install some special software to your computer called oDesk share.

These enable the person giving you the job to see if you are actually

working on his job in real time. They can be able to see your computer

from wherever they are to see if you are actually doing anything. So,

you have to be on your computer through out the agreed time frame.

However, at the end of every hour, money gets into your account.

So, how do you choose jobs to do? Look at the job description and see

if you qualify. Then apply for the job. However, check on the top right

corner of the job page to see if the job has a verified payment method

by oDesk. If it is unverified, don't apply. You may end up loosing.

For bidding, choose a lower price than the average bid price when

starting out. However, in future, you will be able to place prices way

above the listed average bid price. This is because you will have a

good profile. You can also be guided by the budget of the job giver.

Choose a slightly lower price than the budget.

 

As you will note with most traditional data entry sites, you will need

to apply for the jobs and wait for approval. That’s why paydotcom and

clickbank type of data entry above is the most ideal. You do not need

to wait for approval or apply for anything.
 

Other Options:

Here is another website that you can use in the same way as paydotcom

or clickbank. It requires that you obtain the links in the same way and

promote them just as you did with the websites aforementioned..

Sign up for a free account as an affiliate. Then step by step, do as we

did with clickbank and paydotcom.

The good thing about this website is that you can even get paid via a

moneybookers account. You do not necessarily have to have a paypal

account or wait for a check in the mail. Get paid instantly.
